We've got answers...

When should I consume it?
On days that you engage in exercise/ activity, consume this protein drink 10 minutes post-exercise/ activity. On days that you don’t engage in exercise/ activity, replace your 4pm junk cravings with this to meet your daily protein requirement.
How do I consume it?
Simply add 35g of protein powder with 200 ml of milk or water for shakes; or get creative by blending it with foods like oatmeal, curd, yoghurt, or smoothies for a protein boost.
What is the shelf life of this product?
The shelf life is 10 months from the date of manufacturing.
How is this whey protein different from other protein powders?
Simply put, this protein is suuuper clean. Other whey proteins typically contain artificial flavours, artificial sweeteners, gums & fillers, anti-caking & anti-foaming agents–all in an attempt to make your protein feel like an ice-cream shake. This product has none of that. Hence, this. Protein is as light as water - your gut will say ‘thank you’ :)
Is the product manufactured locally or imported?
We source our whey from top global suppliers. We blend it here, at FSSAl and USFDA registered facilities. We test every batch at NABL certified labs for everything: Protein content, Heavy metals, Aflatoxin (M1), Microbial contamination, Pesticide residues and Melamine spiking.

All the above reports are made public, for each batch, here: tinyurl.com/twtproteinlabtestreports
Is the protein suitable for vegetarians?
Yes. This protein is 100% suitable for vegetarians and only contains dairy & plant sources of nutrition.
Is the protein suitable for women?
Yes, whey protein is suitable for women. Whey protein is a high-quality protein source derived from milk, and it contains all the essential amino acids that the body needs for various functions, including muscle building and repair.
Do I need protein powder if I don’t go to the gym?
Protein powder isn't just for people who workout regularly. While protein is essential for muscle repair and growth, it's also important for overall health, regardless of whether you hit the gym or not.

Protein plays a crucial role in various bodily functions, including supporting a healthy immune system, promoting satiety, and aiding in the production of enzymes and hormones. Additionally, protein is crucial for healthy skin, hair, and nails, and maintaining energy levels throughout the day. So, even if you don't work out, your body still needs protein to function properly. Protein is for everyone!

According to ICMR-NIN (India’s National Institute of Nutrition) 2020 the RDA for protein intake is set to ~0.83 g protein per kg body weight per day. If you're already getting enough protein from your regular diet, you may not necessarily need to supplement with protein powder.

However, if you find it challenging to meet your daily protein requirements through food alone, protein powder can be a convenient option to help you bridge that gap.
Does the protein supplement cause weight gain?
Protein supplements themselves do not directly cause weight gain. In fact, protein is an essential macronutrient that can be a valuable part of a balanced diet, and is helpful for weight management. Although, it does require calorie management. Adding protein shakes on top of your regular diet without adjusting other calories or increasing activity results in consuming more than you burn, which will indirectly cause weight gain.
Will I bulk up / grow big muscles if I start consuming this protein powder?
Whey protein itself is not a magic formula for muscle growth. Muscle growth happens as a combination of exercise, diet, genetics etc. This protein powder has a protein concentration that is for everyone who wants to maintain an active lifestyle and will not lead to someone bulking up overnight.
What is lecithin and why is it used in this protein?
Whey, by nature, is hydrophobic, Which means it doesn't mix well with water. That's why it needs to be ‘instantised' - a fancy word for adding a tiny amount of fat (lecithin) that helps it mix better and makes your protein drink smoooooth!
What is bromelain and why is it used in this protein?
One of the reasons protein powders cause bloating and heaviness is because your gut isn’t primed to receive protein, in such high concentration, in one go. Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapple stems that helps break down protein. It is very necessary to make this protein easily digestible. Less than 1% of the mix, and your protein becomes so much easier to digest. Cheers.
Is it suitable for pregnant or lactating women?
We understand how important it is to ensure that any supplement taken during pregnancy or lactation is safe. Our protein powder is formulated with high-quality, natural ingredients and is free from artificial additives and harmful preservatives. It's also low in allergens and has a balanced blend of essential nutrients, which can be beneficial during pregnancy. However, because everyone is unique, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional before adding any new supplement to your diet.
Is it suitable for diabetics?
We recommend our unsweetened variants as a possible option, while also advising you to consult your doctor for personalised guidance.
Can I use protein powder for cooking? Will it go bad upon heating?
Yes, whey protein can be heated and used in batters. Adding the protein powder to hot things all at once can cause denaturation—where the protein unfolds, similar to cooking an egg, but this doesn't destroy its nutritional value. The amino acid content and total protein amount stay the same, though digestibility might change slightly and texture could become clumpier at very high temperatures. Hence, we suggest you add the protein powder to warm things (not too hot) slowly, while stirring it constantly.
What is the difference between Concentrate and Isolate whey?
Whey protein is obtained by extracting protein from milk, using filtration (microfiltration, in our case) to separate proteins from fats and carbs (and lactose); whey concentrate retain some of these, while whey isolate undergoes further refining to remove almost all non-protein components, resulting whey isolate in higher protein concentration (>90%) than whey concentrate (80-90%). That's why people with digestive sensitivity and/or lactose intolerance do well on Isolate whey protein.
Which method is used to make this whey protein?
We use a 'Cross Flow Microfiltration' process, which is physical separation of fat and casein; and is 100% chemical free. Cross Flow Microfiltration process allows us to keep the protein structure intact and bioactive fractions preserved; simply put, this process preserves the integrity of whey. We don't use ion-exchange which is a chemical process of extraction.
What is the source of protein in this product? Is it natural?
The source of protein in Light Cocoa 24g Protein Powder is Whey and is completely natural. Whey Isolate is the primary source of protein (67%) which is blended with Whey Concentrate (33%) to achieve the required protein concentration.

All the protein in the product comes from natural sources.
Is this protein safe for lactose-intolerant individuals?
No. If you are lactose-intolerant, we would not recommend Light COcoa 24g Protein Powder since it contains Whey Concentrate, which has lactose. In whey protein, we could recommend Whey Protein Isolate Unflavoured, since whey isolate has minimal traces of lactose i.e <0.5g lactose per scoop. However, if your intolerance is severe, our plant-based protein range would be a better option.
Will this protein powder cause bloating, gas or acne?
Bloating, gas, or acne is usually caused either by lactose intolerance or by the artificial fillers, bulking agents, and anti-caking or foaming agents that most protein powders use. If you have lactose intolerance, we recommend trying our unflavoured isolate whey protein or plant-based protein range. If you don’t, be rest assured - this is the cleanest, most easily digestible protein powder you will find. If you’re still unsure, you can try our Light Cocoa or Cold Coffee Pack of 6 sachets, which you can use to start small and introduce it into your diet to gauge your body’s response.
Can this protein be consumed by teenagers?
Yes, this protein can be consumed by teenagers, but with a few important considerations. The 24g protein range (Light Cocoa, Cold Coffee, Mango, Pista Badam, mango) is formulated primarily for adults and active adolescents who have higher protein needs, such as teenagers involved in sports, regular strenuous physical activity, or structured training. It is not intended to replace meals and should be used as a supplement to a balanced diet. For younger teenagers or first-time users, we usually recommend starting with a beginner or lower-protein range or using ½ scoop, simply because their digestive systems may not yet be accustomed to concentrated protein in one serving.
